The “cupuassuzeiro” – the cupuassu tree-, native to tropical forests, is one of the most important fruit trees in the Brazilian Amazon. Its fruits come off the plants naturally and without harming the environment. Cupuassu Butter, obtained from seeds, is rich in vitamins and provides softness and recovery of moisture and natural elasticity, especially in dry and mistreated skins and hair.
For facial products, it is used due to its anti-aging action, sun protection, and lip hydration. In body and nail products, it is a vegetable alternative to lanolin. For hair products, it acts increasing elasticity and treating dry hair. It can also be applied to soaps, makeup, products for babies and pregnant women.
Cupuassu butter triacylglycerols have excellent water absorption capacity (stabilizes emulsions and helps with hydration properties). Cupuassu butter contains phytosterols that replenish the skin’s lipid barrier.
